WHO WE ARE

The Native Seed Producers of Canada (NSPC) is an association of farmers dedicated to growing and strengthening Canada's native seed supply. The group consists of Canadian farmers who are actively producing native forb and/or grass seeds for market, working together to advance the country's native seed industry and support ecological restoration efforts.

OUR MISSION

NSPC represents and unites Canadian native seed producers, promoting the availability and use of high-quality Canadian-grown native forb and grass seeds. By fostering collaboration with stakeholders, we aim to strengthen the native seed supply chain, leading to better restoration outcomes and ecological resilience.

OUR APROACH

Our members take pride in preserving and enhancing the biodiversity of native plant species by producing native wildflower and grass seeds. We do this to support ecological restoration and landscaping projects. Our farms, businesses and methods vary, but we share a common goal.

OUR PARTNERS

Wild collectors are an important part of how seed moves from natural populations into production systems. Native Seed Collection Partners are individuals, enterprises or organizations engaged in the ethical and sustainable collection of native seed from wild populations, who do not operate farm-based production systems. This category allows collectors to participate in NSPC activities, benefit from our network and access resources, while maintaining NSPC's producer-led governance and decision-making.
